Today

I was not there last week, so no post was there. Good Evening readers, elections are going on and results will be out on the 16th. By 12th we will be getting the exit polls. Till then, markets will be flat. Today there was a fall in Markets, due to selling in the Index futures by the FIIs. IT stocks are down, cyclicals are preferred investments. But, as of now everything depends on Elections. If Modi becomes Prime Minister, then the Markets will not react as they have already factored in the event. But, if Modi does not become then they will be lot of volatility. The Finance Ministry is to cut excise duties to the Auto sector beyond june. So, this sector is to be watched as it is down now with less demand. HAPPY INVESTING AND TRADING.

Today

Markets had their up’s and downs. Markets recovered today because of the continued correction since yesterday ie called short covering in Broker words were traders start buying stocks in anticipation of a furthur rise. The tapering in the US is going on China has a weak manufacturing base as of now.  But the beginning of this week presented a good buying opportunity, and prices have gone up now.  Trading can be done, and some long term buys can be done. Agriculture related stocks will do well, the best defensive stocks will be Fast Moving Consumer Goods. The time has come to keep a mix of trading and investing. HAPPY TRADING & INVESTING.

Today the sensex moved up by 28 points moving to17996 and the nifty went down by 2 points moving to5285. The IT stocks did well due to the depreciation of the rupee against the dollar. With the passing of the Food Security bill the markets have not taken it very kindly as a lot of funds allocation has to be made to a resource starved country. Tomorrow ie Thursday the 29th of August is the last day for the Futures contract. So, many contracts will be rolled over. The Foreign Institutions are selling with the fear of a falling rupee, and a strong US Economy now. Many investments are going to the US and money has been invested in US bonds. LIC has been buying lot of shares as lot of stocks are available at good bargains now. It is not a good sign as it is not a real market interest shown by investors, Market has been stable due to yesterdays sharp fall and LIC buying. The rupee came to Rs68/ per dollar showing a massive weakness.HAPPY INVESTING with care, make use of the price fluctuations and trade.

Introduction To Stock Market

Why is a share issued? A Company as it grows from a partnership to a private company and then to a public Company has to raise money at some point of time as their requirement for money increases. Money can be raised either through borrowings or through equity. In Borrowings the money has to be repaid with interest to the lenders which is expensive. In equity the buyers of the shares are owners of the company. Equity financing is cheaper as it not to be repaid. The BSE Sensex came down to 18664 down by 68 points and the NIFTy down by 23 points coming down to5519. Markets overall looked positive thouth the index came down at the end. The results are mixed and the rupee is crashing everyday. The Commerce Minister mentions that we have a trade deficit with 80 countries, which is not a good thing. With the elections around and weak economic scenario, markets will be shaky. It is better to buy at lows and sell at highs, go right here. For a share to be traded on the Stock Exchange, it has to be listed there first. For this a listing fee has to be paid first.25% of the capital of the company has to be sold to the public, before listing. It is a rule now that, 25% of the capital is to be given to the public if the share is to be listed on the Stock Exchange.
